Our team at Conquer Termites Northside recently had the privilege of attending the highly anticipated AEPMA conference, Pesticon, held on the beautiful Gold Coast. It was an incredible experience for our crew, who left the event feeling inspired, educated, and more connected than ever with the industry’s best practices and latest innovations.
The conference featured an impressive lineup of speakers who shared their expertise on a range of topics critical to the pest management industry. We were particularly impressed by the depth of knowledge presented, which spanned from the latest advancements in termite detection technology to sustainable pest management practices. The sessions were not just informative but also highly engaging, allowing our team to gain valuable insights that we can apply directly to our work.
One of the standout presentations was from Dr Robert Puckett who came all the way from Texas to share his expertise with Red Imported Fire Ants. This talk was eye-opening and gave us new strategies to implement in our services, ensuring that we continue to offer the most effective solutions to our clients.
Another highlight of our time at Pesticon 2024 was the AWPMA Networking Breakfast, organized by our very own Amy Jenkinson, Conquer Termites Office Manager, along with Kuyan Rider, Conquer Termites General Manager, and Sarah Cutting from Spiderman SE. Held on August 15, 2024, at The Star Gold Coast, the event was a resounding success. The morning was filled with inspiring stories of strength and resilience, shared by exceptional speakers, including Tameka Bramwell of Bramwell Partners, Belinda Raso of Tax Invest Accounting, and AWPMA’s Sarah Cutting. Each speaker brought a unique perspective, from Sarah’s powerful journey as a breast cancer survivor to Belinda’s success in building a women-led accounting firm with a significant social media presence, and Tameka’s deep expertise in Human Resources and organizational excellence. The breakfast provided a wonderful opportunity for industry professionals to connect, share insights, and be inspired by these remarkable women. We are so grateful for the support AWPMA has received, especially during its merger with AEPMA, and look forward to continuing this tradition of empowerment and collaboration in the pest management industry.
Beyond the educational aspects, Pesticon 2024 was a fantastic opportunity for our team to bond and enjoy some well-deserved time together. The Gold Coast provided the perfect backdrop for this, with its stunning beaches and vibrant atmosphere. We returned not only with new knowledge but also with a strengthened team spirit, ready to tackle the challenges ahead.
Attending Pesticon has reinvigorated our commitment to staying at the forefront of the pest management industry. We’re excited to integrate the new techniques and insights we’ve gained into our daily operations, ensuring that Conquer Termites Northside continues to provide top-tier service to all our clients.
