One of the most common questions our admin team receives from clients, whether over the phone or via email, is “How much does termite protection cost?” This is often followed by, “Why can’t you provide a quote over the phone?”
We understand that everyone’s busy and would love to have things booked quickly and easily. However, termite protection requires a site visit to provide an accurate, personalized quote for your home—and here’s why.
Every home is unique, and it’s not as simple as just determining whether it’s a single- or double-story brick house. Several factors need to be considered, such as whether the home has a subfloor, engaged piers, or if it’s double-bricked and requires internal treatment. Our technician will first assess the structure and type of slab, which helps determine whether a chemical or baiting termite management system is the best option. After that, they will identify any potential areas that could impact the treatment. Finally, you’ll see our technician take precise measurements of the home’s perimeter.
Quick Facts About Termite Management:
- In Queensland (QLD), most standard home insurance policies do not cover termite damage. This is because termite infestations are typically seen as preventable through regular inspections and maintenance, and therefore fall under “homeowner responsibility.”
- The average cost of repairs for termite damage in Queensland can vary significantly depending on the extent of the infestation and the damage caused. However, estimates suggest that termite damage repairs in Australia, including Queensland, typically range from $5,000 to $30,000.
- In severe cases, costs can exceed $50,000 or more, particularly if the infestation has compromised structural elements like support beams or flooring. The longer a termite infestation goes undetected, the higher the repair costs tend to be, which is why regular inspections and early intervention are crucial.
- A FREE termite management system assessment/quote will take less than 60 minutes and give you a proposal to protect your home from future infestations.
Termidor HE:
Termidor® HE is the highly efficient new formulation that makes it faster and easier to provide homes and other buildings with the best available in-ground protection against termites.
Termidor was already recognised as the top treatment in the market, with no product failures since it was launched in 2002. Now this new formulation, using unique BASF patented Advanced Polymer Technology, enhances the active ingredient’s movement in the soil to create a stronger, more stable and uniform protection zone with less digging – fewer than half the number of drill holes compared to the industry standard, and smaller trenches by an average of 30%.
Termidor® HE expands upon the proven Termidor Residual Termiticide suspension concentrate formulation, using proprietary Advanced Polymer Technology to boost the transport of the active ingredient into the soil on application and create an enhanced protection zone. Every Termidor HE treatment is protected by the reliability and strength of the original Termidor active ingredient. Non-repellent and undetectable to termites, it can potentially be carried back to the nest by foraging termites who share it throughout the colony to create the powerful Termidor Transfer Effect.
Trelona ATBS
BASF’s Advance® Termite Bait System (ATBS) with Trelona® Termite Bait sets a new benchmark in termite baiting for the Australian market. Powered by a novel active ingredient Novaluron, Trelona requires much less bait for complete colony elimination to be achieved when compared to other termite baits.
Trelona ATBS - Monitoring & Baiting Program
If you select our ongoing monitoring option your stations will be checked approximately every 3-6 months (or as per manufacturer’s specifications.) In the event that the stations become active we will increase those checks to 4-6 weekly depending on species and extent of activity.
We will send out an email with as much notice as possible, to advise that we will be doing a station check. To keep the program affordable we do not offer specific appointment times and conduct these checks when we are in your area. Monitoring checks are conducted between 7:00am & 5:00 pm Monday - Friday.
We recognize that this arrangement may not align with every individual’s requirements. We encourage you to engage with our team to explore alternative plans tailored to your property. Kindly be aware that scheduled visits are not encompassed within the standard pricing structure and are subject to an additional cost.
